Composition: Diclofenac Diethylammonium BP 1.16% w/w Equivalent to Diclofenac Sodium BP 1.0% w/w Methyl Salicylate IP 8.0% w/w Menthol IP 8.0% w/w Get base q.s. Action: Relief Gel is a multi-action topical gel for quick relief from pain strain and sprain. Pharmacology: Diclofenac Diethylamine is systemically absorbed through the skin; is inhibits the enzyme cyclo-oxygenase, thus reducing the formation of PGE. Moreover, it also increases the uptake of arachidonic acid into the cellular pool, Methyl salicylate is known topical analgesics and counter irritant. Menthol is a vasodilators, it dilates the blood vessels, produces a feeling of coolness and produces analgesia. Indications: Relief Gel is indicated for the quick relief from pain. Swelling and inflammation due to musculo-skeletal disorders such as sprains, strains, tendonitis, bursitis, hand, neck and shoulder pain, sciatica muscle stiffness. Joint pain, backache and lumbago. Dosage and Application: Approximately of Relief Gel should be applied to the affected site three to four times daily with rubbing till the film disappears. Contraindications: this product is contradicted in patients with a history of hypersensitivity to Diclofenac, aspirin and other Non-Steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs and to other ingredients of the preparation. Precaution: Relief Gel should be applied only to intack skin surfaces and not to skin wounds or open injuries. It should not come in contact with eyes or mucus membranes. Side-Effects: Occasionally local side effects such as skin rash, itching and reddening may be observed. Storage Condition: Store in temperature below 25℃. Do not freeze. Protect from light.
